Description

Benzoyl-L-methionine is a hydrogen bond donor. It has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandins, which are involved in inflammation. Benzoyl-L-methionine also has an anionic carboxyl group that can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules such as metal ions and fatty acids. It also has a functional group containing a thiourea that stabilizes the molecule by forming an amide bond with the peptidic side chains. The nature of benzoyl-L-methionine makes it reusable and suitable for industrial purposes.
