Description :
Boc-L-methioninol is an amino acid that can be used as a ligand in asymmetric synthesis. It has been shown to produce high yields of the desired product. Boc-L-methioninol is synthesised from L-methionine and an azide, which reacts with the protonated form of the methionine to give a hydrophobic species that can be converted into other compounds by a variety of methods. The compound interacts with anions such as chloride or chiral alcohols.
