Description :
Boc-3-iodo-L-tyrosine is a tyrosine analogue that is used in biochemical research as a substrate for enzymes and in the synthesis of radiolabeled compounds. Boc-3-iodo-L-tyrosine can be hydrolyzed to 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) and acetonitrile, which are then oxidized to form the corresponding tosylates. These tracers have been shown to be useful in studies of tumor metabolism and synthesis.
