Description

N-alpha-Boc-Nim-benzyl-L-histidine is a fluorescent probe that is used to measure the concentration of β-amyloid in human serum. The compound has been shown to bind to the β-amyloid protein and fluoresce, which can then be detected with a spectrophotometer. N-alpha-Boc-Nim-benzyl-L-histidine has shown promising results as a fluorescent probe for the detection of β amyloid peptide. It has been found to be non toxic in humans and does not cause any adverse effects on biological properties. The compound has also been shown to have an excellent pharmacokinetic profile and is rapidly excreted from the body.
