Description

Boc-11-aminoundecanoic acid is a potential anti-obesity agent that inhibits the pyruvic transaminase enzyme. This inhibition leads to a decrease in the production of acetyl-CoA, which is an important precursor for the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol. Boc-11-aminoundecanoic acid also has the ability to bind to receptors on fat cells, which may be related to its anti-obesity effect.
