• Description: Bismark Brown R is a potassium dichromate solution that is used in wastewater treatment. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique was used to measure the adsorption of bismark brown r onto activated carbon. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm was used to determine the kinetic and the biological sample was used to determine the kinetic data. The surface methodology was used for the reaction mechanism and adsorption studies. Bismark brown r has been shown to have a high affinity for fatty acids, which are hydroxylated at their ester group, forming an ester-bismark brown complex with a higher surface area than bismark brown alone.
