Informations sur le produit
- Benzonitrile, 3-bromo-4-hydroxy-5-methoxy-
3-Bromo-4-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzonitrile is an oxime that has been shown to be a potent antiproliferative agent. It binds to the active site of VEGFR-2 and blocks the activation of this receptor, which is required for cell growth and migration. 3-Bromo-4-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzonitrile has a high affinity for the aldoximes biphenyl, which are found in the environment at low levels. This compound reacts with hydrogen peroxide and other chemicals to form reactive intermediates that bind to DNA and RNA, altering their structure. 3-Bromo-4-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzonitrile also inhibits cancer cell proliferation by interfering with protein synthesis in cells.
