Informations sur le produit
- Pyridinium, 1-Butyl-4-Methyl-, Bromide (1:1)
1-Butyl-4-methylpyridinium bromide is a pyridinium salt that is used as a photocatalyst in the production of hydrogen peroxide. It has been shown to be able to activate the hydrogen production process by absorbing light and releasing electrons. The molecular modeling of 1-butyl-4-methylpyridinium bromide was carried out using quantum chemical calculations. The activation energy for the electron transfer from 1-butyl-4-methylpyridinium bromide to H+ (or H2O) is found to be 15.3 kcal mol−1, which can be reduced by replacing chloride with other anions such as sulfate or nitrate. This compound also has the ability to interact with other molecules, such as chloride, due to its polar nature and dipole moment. In addition, it has been shown that 1-butyl-4-methylpyridinium b
