Description :4,4'-Bis(hexyloxy)azoxybenzene is a solvating agent for organic compounds. It has a low boiling point and is soluble in water. 4,4'-Bis(hexyloxy)azoxybenzene is also used as a stationary phase in chromatographic methods. The chemical reacts with protons to form an azoxybenzene sulfoxide and can be used to convert cyclohexanones into divinylbenzenes. 4,4'-Bis(hexyloxy)azoxybenzene has been shown to interact with the conformational energies of other molecules through its solvation properties.
