Description

2,5-Bis(5-tert-butyl-2-benzoxazolyl)thiophene (purified by sublimation) is a high purity compound that is used primarily as a precursor to make other chemicals. It can be used to form polymers and cationic surfactants. 2,5-Bis(5-tert-butyl-2-benzoxazolyl)thiophene (purified by sublimation) has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as fatty acid synthase and lipoxygenase. The inhibition of these enzymes leads to the suppression of inflammatory responses in the body. In addition, this compound can be used in analytical methods for determining the concentration of coumarin derivatives in samples with fluorescence.
