Description

2,2-Bis(4-acetoxyphenyl)propane is a compound with a hydroxyl group and trifluoroacetic acid. It is an unsymmetrical diacetate and amide, which reacts with nucleophiles to form esters and amides respectively. It is a reactive compound that can be polymerized in the presence of polyvinyl chloride or polystyrene. This chemical has been used as an analytical method for lipoprotein lipase activity and fatty acid composition.
