2,2-Bis(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)propane is a transport material that has been shown to be conductive and thermal-expansion properties. It also has the ability to reduce particle size in the presence of an acid catalyst. 2,2-Bis(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)propane is used in industrial chemicals as an additive for boron nitride and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide. It also has functional groups that can be reacted with other compounds to form new compounds with different properties. The chemical is used in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. This product does not contain any hazardous substances according to ISO 10705:2008 and meets the requirements for classification as an F1 substance by DIN 50930:2007.
