2,2-Bis(4-isocyanatophenyl)hexafluoropropane (HFP) is a crosslinked polyurethane that has a high reactivity with a variety of compounds. It has been shown to have an interaction with tetrahydrofuran (THF) and kinetic properties. The molecular weight of HFP has been calculated at 564 g/mol. This polymer is resistant to heat and can be used in temperatures up to 220°C. It also resists glycols and propylene glycols, which are hydrocarbons that are found in many industrial processes. HFP also has a low reactivity with oxide, factors that may be due to its high molecular weight.
