1,6-Bis(acryloyloxy)hexane is an acrylate monomer that belongs to the class of reactive monomers. It has been used as a model system for the study of the interaction between polymer and biological properties. 1,6-Bis(acryloyloxy)hexane can be used as a stabilizer for MEHQ (methyl ethyl quinone), which is a glycol ester. It can also be used in high-temperature environments and has excellent resistance to radiation and chemical stability. The reaction mechanism of bis(acryloyloxy)hexane is not well understood, but it may involve a radical chain reaction or an addition polymerization process.
