Description

5-bromobenzo[d]thiazole is a compound that belongs to the group of dithiazoles and can be synthesized from recycled materials. The compound has been shown to have a number of important properties, including nanosheet formation, an active methylene group, terminal alkynes, and the ability to undergo ultrasonication. 5-bromobenzo[d]thiazole has also been shown to undergo hydrosilylation with dimethylformamide and reductive elimination in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate.
