Description :Benzyltriethylammonium Tetrafluoroborate is a reactive, organic solvent that can be used for the synthesis of epoxy, organometallic, and acetylpyridine compounds. It is also used as an intermediate in the preparation of cycloaliphatic compounds. This chemical is a good catalyst for reactions involving metal ions and inorganic compounds. Benzyltriethylammonium Tetrafluoroborate has been shown to have antibacterial properties against Gram-positive bacteria such as Enterococcus faecalis. Benzyltriethylammonium Tetrafluoroborate has also been used in the synthesis of carbapenem antibiotics.
