• Description: 2,3-Bis(2-fluoro-4-hydroxyphenyl)-2,3-dimethylbutane is a cytosolic antiestrogen that has been shown to be highly selective for the estradiol receptor. It also shows dose-dependent inhibition of DNA synthesis in human breast cancer cells. 2,3-Bis(2-fluoro-4-hydroxyphenyl)-2,3-dimethylbutane is hydrolytically stable and does not show any significant estrogenic activity at concentrations up to 1 mM. This compound has been synthesized by coupling two molecules of dichloroacetate in an organic medium with a magnetic field.
