1,3-Bis(2,2-Dinitro-2-Fluoroethoxy)-N,N,N',N'-Tetrafluoro-2,2-Propanediamine is a neurotrophic factor that has been shown to stimulate the growth of cells in the brain and lead to an increase in nerve cells. It is used as a drug in the treatment of certain metabolic disorders. 1,3-Bis(2,2-Dinitro-2-Fluoroethoxy)-N,N,N',N'-Tetrafluoro-2,2-Propanediamine also stimulates the production of insulin and glucagon by pancreatic beta cells. This drug may be useful for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and other diseases related to insulin resistance.
