Description :
Cyclopentyl chloroformate is an organic compound and a metabolite of cyclopentanol. It is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme leukotriene C4 synthase, which converts arachidonic acid to leukotrienes. Cyclopentyl chloroformate has also been shown to inhibit virus replication in vitro, as well as nitrosative stress and hepatitis C virus infection in vivo. This drug has also been found to have antidepressant effects and inhibit the activity of serine proteases.
