2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-Bromo-1-Methyl-5-(Trifluoromethyl)-1H-Pyrrole-3-Carbonitrile is a synthetic drug that binds to the tyrosine kinase receptor, thereby inhibiting the growth of cells. It has been shown to selectively kill T lymphocytes, which may be responsible for its ability to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells. This compound also inhibits pancreatic cancer and serum levels of insulin and glucagon in animals. 2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-Bromo-1-Methyl-5-(Trifluoromethyl)-1H-Pyrrole-3-Carbonitrile has been shown to inhibit the activity of protein kinases in a section of infectious diseases, including HIV protease, hepatitis C virus NS3 protease, and influenza virus neuraminidase.
