Description

Cyclo(-Gln-Trp-Phe-Gly-Leu-Met) is a cyclic peptide that has been shown to have cholinergic properties and low potency. It has a chemical structure that consists of the amino acids Gln, Trp, Phe, Gly, Leu, and Met. Cyclo(-Gln-Trp-Phe-Gly-Leu-Met) has been shown to increase bladder capacity in animal models. The mechanism of action of this drug is not fully understood but it may involve the adenosine A3 receptor and gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA). Cyclo(-Gln-Trp-Phe-Gly-Leu-Met) also inhibits DNA replication by interacting with intermolecular hydrogen bonding sites on the DNA molecule.
