• Description: Cyclobutylacetic acid is a diacid with an amide group. It can be made by oxidation of cyclohexane. Cyclobutylacetic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. This compound also has the ability to lower the concentration of chloride ions in cells, suggesting that it could be used for treatment of inflammatory diseases caused by high levels of this ion.
