Description

6-Chloro-N~4~-isopropylpyrimidine-2,4-diamine is a nitrogen-containing organic compound that is used as an herbicide. It has horticultural, agriculturally and pest control uses. This chemical inhibits the enzyme hydrosilylation, which is required for cell wall biosynthesis in plants. 6-Chloro-N~4~-isopropylpyrimidine-2,4-diamine also binds to picolinic acid and butyric acid receptors. In addition, it is a ligand for picolinic acid in animal health and can be deaminated by monoamine oxidase to form picolinic acid.
