The binding of 2-chloro-N-(3-cyanophenyl)acetamide to activin results in a blockage of the cavity, which prevents hydrogen bond formation between activin and its receptor. This drug also has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by inducing apoptosis in prostate cancer cells.
