Informations sur le produit
- 1,2,5-thiadiazole
- 3-chloro-
3-Chloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole is a monomer that is part of the cholinergic family. It has been synthesized and shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. 3-Chloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole has been found to be an effective treatment for urinary tract infections. 3-Chloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole binds to the sulfanyl group on bacterial cell walls and inhibits the growth of bacteria by interfering with protein synthesis. The alkali metal counter ion in the compound may play a role in this inhibition process because it can form a complex with 3-chloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole that prevents its binding to sulfanyl groups.
