Description :
4-Chloro-2-methylquinazoline is a heterocycle that has been shown to have potent anticancer activity. It reacts with chlorine gas to form a chloroquinazoline, which inhibits the hepg2 cell growth and inhibits the production of terminal alkynes. 4-Chloro-2-methylquinazoline is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes to form a carcinogenic intermediate that leads to the inhibition of protein synthesis and cell division. The reaction time for 4-chloro-2-methylquinazoline is short and it can be used as an inhibitor for metabolic pathways, such as lipid metabolism.
