Description :
6-Chloro-N-methylpyrazin-2-amine is a heteroarene that can be synthesized by the reaction of an alkylating agent with xanthates. The reaction proceeds through an intermolecular, radical process and is regioselective at the alpha position. The functionalization of heteroaromatics can also be performed using this reagent.
