Description :
4-Chloro-1,5-naphthyridine is an isomeric antimalarial drug that has been shown to have antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum. The compound contains a heterocycle and can be synthesized by condensation of phenols with bromo compounds. 4-Chloro-1,5-naphthyridine has been isolated from Australian plants and found to have good antimalarial activity in plasmodium falciparum.
