Chlorobenzene-d5 is a synthetic compound that can be used as an analytical reference material. A study investigating the health effects associated with exposure to chlorobenzene-d5 found that symptoms were limited to skin irritation at concentrations above 2%. The majority of cases were found among workers who had not followed proper safety precautions or who had been exposed to high levels from spills or leaks. Based on this study, it is unlikely that chlorobenzene-d5 would cause significant health effects at low concentrations.
