Description

1-(3-Chlorophenyl)imidazolidin-2-one is a heterobicyclic compound with a chlorophenyl group. It has an optimized conformation, in which the molecule adopts a planar geometry. 1-(3-Chlorophenyl)imidazolidin-2-one has been shown to have serotonin receptor agonist activity and may also be a dopamine receptor agonist. This drug is able to bind to the hydrogen bond acceptor atom of the receptor, which leads to conformational changes that open up the active site for binding of ligands. The molecular nature of this drug is gas phase, and it has been shown to produce crystalline structures in the solid state.
