Informations sur le produit
- benzenamine, 4-chloro-N-hydroxy-
- Hydroxylamine, N- (p-chlorophenyl)-
4-Chlorophenylhydroxylamine is a proton-transfer inhibitor that inhibits the enzyme carbonic anhydrase. 4-Chlorophenylhydroxylamine is used as a test compound to determine the activity of carbonic anhydrase and has been shown to be a reversible inhibitor of this enzyme. The chlorophenyl group in 4-chlorophenylhydroxylamine binds to the magnesium ion at the catalytic site, which blocks access by chloride ions, preventing the conversion of CO2 into bicarbonate and water. This reaction mechanism is irreversible. 4-Chlorophenylhydroxylamine has a pH optimum at 7.4 and exhibits concentration dependence for its inhibition rate. It also shows a constant inhibition rate when exposed to varying concentrations of substrate. The use of liquid chromatography with UV detection is an efficient method for measuring 4-chlorophenylhydroxylamine concentrations in vitro.br>br>
