5-Chloro-2-methylene-1,3,3-trimethylindoline is a covalent inhibitor that binds to the response pathway. This drug has been shown to have clinical activity in cardiac and cancer patients. It has also been used as a diagnostic agent for diagnosis of tumors and other diseases. The mechanism of action of this drug is not well understood but it is believed that the cleavage products may be diagnostic. In addition, 5-chloro-2-methylene-1,3,3-trimethylindoline has structural homologues with drugs such as cisplatin, which are used in chemotherapy treatments for cancer.
