Description :
4-Chloropiperidine is a hydrogen bond acceptor that interacts with the amine group of growth factors. It is also an epidermal growth factor and chloride stabilizer. 4-Chloropiperidine has been shown to interact with the receptor for epidermal growth factor, which can lead to cancer cell death. 4-Chloropiperidine has been used in wastewater treatment plants as a coagulant agent and can be used to remove heavy metals from water. The interaction energies between 4-chloropiperidine and amines have been determined using crystallography.
