Informations sur le produit
- 4-Chloro-2-(Methylthio)Pyrimidine-5-Carboxylic Acid
- 5-Pyrimidinecarboxylic Acid, 4-Chloro-2-(Methylthio)-
- 4-Chloro-2-(methylsulfanyl)pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid
4-Chloro-2-(methylthio)pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid is a drug that is used to treat cancer. It is a divalent molecule that functions as a kinase inhibitor and inhibits the activity of ATP. This drug has been shown to inhibit the activation of guanyl nucleotide-dependent protein kinase and phosphorylate ERK in vitro. The potential target of 4-chloro-2-(methylthio)pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid is not known, but it may be involved in the regulation of cellular proliferation or apoptosis. Functional studies have shown that 4-chloro-2-(methylthio)pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid inhibits the growth of cancer cells in vitro and has little effect on healthy cells. This drug also shows potential for treating a variety of other diseases, such as type II diabetes mellitus, asthma, and arthritis.
