Cyclohexylamine hydrobromide is a reactive, oxidizable chemical that has antibacterial properties. It is used in the production of surface active agents and oxidation products. Cyclohexylamine hydrobromide reacts with copper oxide to form a copper cyclohexylamine complex, which can be used as a catalyst for organic synthesis. This product is also used as an additive in some pharmaceuticals, including sodium citrate and silicon dioxide. Cyclohexylamine hydrobromide has a high melting point and is not soluble in water.
