Description :
(1,5-Cyclooctadiene)-eta5-indenyl)iridium(I) is a crystalline solid that has been shown to be insoluble in water, alcohols, and ether. It is soluble in pentane, chloroform, benzene, and carbon disulfide. This compound is used as a reagent for the preparation of other compounds. Iridium (I) is toxic if ingested and exposure can cause irritation to the skin and eyes. The evaporative residue from this compound can cause respiratory tract irritation.
