Description

Flupentixol is a psychotropic drug that is used to treat schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and attacks. Flupentixol is a dopamine antagonist and also has anti-cholinergic properties. Flupentixol is an intermediate in the synthesis of other drugs such as chlorpromazine and benzodiazepines. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and diabetes type 2. There have been reports that it can cause bowel dysfunction, tardive dyskinesia, and gynecomastia. Flupentixol has also been shown to have antidepressant effects when combined with nicotine or ethanol.
