4-Chloro-N-methylpyridine-2-carboxamide is a polar molecule that interacts with hydrogen bonding and has high polarity. It can be used in the treatment of cancer. 4-Chloro-N-methylpyridine-2-carboxamide is a drug candidate for the treatment of cancer. Studies have shown that it inhibits the growth of human liver cancer cells, bcr/abl kinase, and hct116 cells through the inhibition of protein synthesis. 4CMP also inhibits cell proliferation in MDA-MB231 breast cancer cells by blocking growth factor activity.
