Description

(S)-(-)-2-Chloropropionic acid is a biologically active molecule that can be used for the treatment of various diseases. It inhibits the production of voltage-dependent calcium channels, which are involved in the release of neurotransmitters and in locomotor activity. The inhibition of these channels leads to an increase in intracellular calcium levels and necrotic cell death.
