Informations sur le produit
- Acepyrene
Cyclopenta(c,d)pyrene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) with the chemical formula C20H12. It is a member of the group of carcinogenic chemicals that are formed during incomplete combustion of organic material. The toxicity of cyclopenta(c,d)pyrene depends on its structure and dose. For example, high doses can cause DNA damage or cancer in laboratory animals and humans, while low doses have no effect. Cyclopenta(c,d)pyrene has been shown to inhibit the activity of rat liver microsomes in vitro. This inhibition may be due to the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Other PAHs such as benzo(a)pyrene and chrysene also produce ROS when metabolized by rat liver microsomes.
