Description

Copper sulfate pentahydrate is a water-soluble copper compound that has been studied for its toxicity in laboratory animals. This compound has been shown to be an effective antibacterial agent against antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. Copper sulfate pentahydrate has been used to treat infectious diseases, such as leprosy and syphilis, by reducing the number of microbes in the bloodstream.
