Description :Chromone-2-carboxylic acid is a hydrochloric acid analog that is a prodrug for the formation of the active metabolite chromone-2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid. Chromone-2-carboxylic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and in vivo. It has also been shown to inhibit leukotriene synthesis by blocking the binding of LTC4 to its receptor.
