Description

4'-Chloro-2',5'-dimethoxyacetoacetanilide NA is an aryl amine that has been used as a reactive dye for the coloration of dyestuffs and as an intermediate for the synthesis of other compounds. It also has been used in the preparation of vaccines, which may be due to its ability to form reactive groups with proteins. 4'-Chloro-2',5'-dimethoxyacetoacetanilide NA has been shown to react with nasal tissue, which may be due to the presence of reactive groups in this molecule. This compound reacts with naphthol, forming a dark-colored product.
