Description

2-(Chloroethylsulfonyl)ethanol 2HCl is a fatty acid that inhibits the growth of human liver cancer cells and human liver cells. It has been shown to inhibit the binding of inhibitor proteins to the surface of human liver cancer cells and human liver cells, which may be due to its ability to disrupt the function of glycan moieties on cell surfaces. This chemical has also been shown to inhibit virus replication, which may be due to its ability to bind to lysine residues on viral proteins. 2-(Chloroethylsulfonyl)ethanol 2HCl is a colorable chemical that can be used as a marker for glycosylation in biological systems.
