Informations sur le produit
- Quinoxaline, 2-Chloro-3-Methoxy-
2-Chloro-3-methoxyquinoxaline is an antipsychotic agent that belongs to the group of atypical antipsychotics. It blocks receptors for dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. 2-Chloro-3-methoxyquinoxaline has affinity for both D2 and D4 dopamine receptors in rat striatum. The terminal alkynes of 2-chloro-3-methoxyquinoxaline are oxidized by palladium (0) catalysis to form terminal alkenes with aryl halides. This reaction is useful for the synthesis of drugs and other organic compounds. 2-Chloro-3-methoxyquinoxaline has also been shown to have antihistamine effects in guinea pigs, which may be due to its ability to block histamine H1 receptors.
