Description :
3-Chloroquinoline is an aromatic compound that undergoes a variety of reactions. When it is subjected to cross-coupling reactions, the yields are low and radiationless transitions are observed. It has been shown that 3-chloroquinoline can be stabilized by the addition of electron-donating groups and when irradiated with UV light, it undergoes a reaction with dichlorocarbene to form nitrobenzene. This chemical compound also functions as a catalyst for various reactions, such as the formation of trifluoromethyl compounds.
