• Description: 2-(4-(6-Chloro-2-(4-(dimethylamino)phenyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-7-yl)piperazin-1-yl)-N-(thiazol-2-yl)acetamide (EFTUDICA) is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme DNA topoisomerase II. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of congenital and acquired disorders caused by mutations in genes encoding components of the translation machinery. EFTUDICA inhibits the function of topoisomerase II, which is responsible for breaking and rejoining DNA strands. This inhibition prevents the production of proteins necessary for cell division, leading to cell death.
