N-(Carbobenzoxy)-1H-pyrazole-1-carboxamidine is a fungicide that belongs to the group of dithiocarbamates. It has been shown to have strong antifungal activity against various fungi, including Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans. N-(Carbobenzoxy)-1H-pyrazole-1-carboxamidine inhibits the growth of fungi by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins that are essential for cell division. This compound binds to the nitrogen atom in amino acids, forming a coordination complex with metal ions such as copper or zinc. This molecular structure allows it to bind to the active site of enzymes such as fungal glutathione reductase and cytochrome P450, inhibiting their function and blocking cell growth.
