Description

Chloro(chloromethyl)dimethylsilane is a chloromethylating agent that is used for the preparation of samples by thermal expansion. It is also used in metathesis reactions to improve the yield. Chloro(chloromethyl)dimethylsilane also reacts with nitrogen atoms to produce chlorinated compounds, which are used as a model for chlorine atom.
