Description :
4-(Chloromethyl)benzoyl chloride is a nucleophilic reagent that reacts with imatinib to form a hemolytic reaction product. It is used in the isolation of imatinib and other compounds. 4-(Chloromethyl)benzoyl chloride reacts with sodium carbonate, halides, and acid to form a chloride complex. This complex can be hydrolyzed by acylation reactions to form an acid complex. The reaction of 4-(chloromethyl)benzoyl chloride with low-energy electrophiles leads to cross-coupling reactions that produce natural products.
